Francisco Otero-Ferrer, Post-Doc researcher in Marine Habitats from the IU-ECOAQUA (Institute of Sustainable Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems), has participated in the the first European Syngnathid meeting took place at the Oceanário de Lisboa, last 20-21 October 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The aim of this meeting was to build a network to help expand knowledge and action for syngnathid species.

Last Friday, 28 September, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Canary Islands Oceanographic Centre hosted the second workshop of the European project for Marine Spatial Planning in the Macaronesia (MarSP - Macaronesian Marine Spatial Planning), organized by the ECOAQUA University Institute of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), in which 65 experts from various economic sectors discussed the priority areas and planning processes to be followed in the three outermost regions of Macaronesia (Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands) dependent on Portuga

SERIOLA project advances details on its pilot trials of juvenile fattening
The team of the project "Diversification of the Spanish aquaculture through the optimization of the cultivation of seriola (Seriola dumerili) - SERIOLA" advances satisfactorily in the realization of the scientific-technical activities of this initiative, that looks for the development of a new commercial species in Spain by improving its larval process and the optimization of the fattening.
